JetData
ArbitSlice.mpg (703k): This movie is made out of a slicer network, which extracts a 2D slice from a 3D volume in the space. A generate colormap module is used along with the arbit slicer module which assigns colors to the points on the slice dependant on its value.
IsoArbit.mpg (758k): This movie is made up of a network, which has mainly two modules namely the IsoSurface and the Arbit Slicer. The movie is taken for the density time stepping through 80 sequences. A slicer network and a colormap is used to show the color mapping of density values on the slice extracted and the isosurface is also visualized simultaneously in the form of grid of points.
Animator.mpg (1.4M): This movie is can be viewed in two parts. The first part shows the IsoSurface of density for two values (visualized as metallic green and points), that are time, stepped through a sequence of files. The latter part uses the AVS Animator module, which rotates the camera around the X and Y-axis to get a better view of the density.
Follow.mov (2.2M): This movie has a camera fixed parallel to the moving head of the jet. This illustrates the possible changes in the shape of head observed through time.
Hed33.mpg (735k): This movie is used to visualize the velocity vectors in the 3D space. A hedgehog module is used along with a vector magnitude module, which extracts the magnitude of the resultant vectors of the velocity. The vectors are further colored with the help of a colormap module depending on the value of the magnitude of the vector. For e.g. the inner red color shows that the magnitude of the vectors inside is large while the outer blue color signifies that the outer vectors in the orthogonal directions are of a far less magnitude.
Volrender.mpg (709k): This is a simple volume-rendering movie, which uses the volume render module to render the density in the 3D space. The space is divided into small 3D cells called voxels. Each voxel is colored with the help of a generate colormap module on the basis of the density value present. The outer voxels, which have no density values, are transparent in color while the other voxels are mapped in different colors as seen in the movie.
Cactus code data
("Kawum"):
Isoslice.mpg (856k): This movie is for a single snapshot of 3D image of a particular IsoSurface value. The movie is made by animating it through distance. An arbit slicer module is used a slice moving through the 3D IsoSurface and mapping the density values on the slice with the help of a colormap module.
Onion.mpg (1.7M): This is a movie, which visualizes an IsoSurface of the density for a particular instance of time. The camera is then moved arbitrarily to see the IsoSurface in different angles. The AVS Animator module is used for the movie.
